These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ArmoScan platform ("Service"), operated by Armologic Ltd. ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in England and Wales. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
To use the Service, you must create an Organization account by providing accurate and complete information, including a valid email address, organization name, and administrator credentials. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
New Organizations receive a 7-day trial period with full access to Professional plan features at no cost. No credit card is required to start a trial. During the trial period, you may use all features of the Service, including all 474+ security plugins, compliance reporting, and scan comparison.
When the trial period expires, your Organization account will be paused until you subscribe to a paid plan. Your data, scan history, findings, and reports will be preserved for 30 days after trial expiration. If no subscription is activated within 30 days, your data may be permanently deleted.
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to bind the organization you represent. Each organization may only create one trial account. Abuse of the trial system (e.g., creating multiple accounts to extend the trial period) may result in account termination.
The Service offers three subscription tiers: Starter, Professional, and Enterprise. Plan features and pricing are described on our Pricing page. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), our merchant of record. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle's terms of service. Paddle handles payment processing, tax calculation, invoicing, and subscription management.
Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on your selection. Annual subscriptions are billed upfront for the full year at a discounted rate. Billing begins at the end of the trial period or upon subscription activation, whichever occurs first.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you retain access to the Service until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period. Data is retained for 30 days after the subscription ends.
Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you are unsatisfied with the Service within the first 14 days of a paid subscription, contact us at info@armologic.com to discuss a refund.
You must only scan Targets that you own or have explicit written authorization to test. Unauthorized scanning of web applications constitutes a violation of these Terms and may be illegal under the Computer Misuse Act 1990 (UK), the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (US), and equivalent legislation in other jurisdictions.
Before scanning any Target, you must complete domain ownership verification through one of three methods: DNS TXT record, HTML file placement, or HTML meta tag. This verification confirms your authorization to scan the Target. Verification is valid for 90 days and must be renewed upon expiry.
You must not use the Service to scan:
While ArmoScan is designed to minimize impact on target applications, security scanning may generate additional load and unusual traffic patterns. You acknowledge that scanning may affect Target performance and agree to configure scan parameters (concurrency, rate limiting, scope) appropriately for your environment.
You agree not to:
The Service, including all software, plugins, algorithms, documentation, and visual design, is the exclusive property of Armologic Ltd. and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Service except for the limited right to use it in accordance with these Terms.
You retain all rights to your data, including scan configurations, findings, and reports generated from your Targets. We do not claim ownership of your scan data. You grant us a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate such feedback into the Service without obligation to you.
Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy. In a multi-tenant environment, your Organization's data is isolated from other tenants using database-level Row-Level Security (RLS).
We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime for the Service. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Planned maintenance windows will be communicated in advance. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
Support availability depends on your subscription plan. Starter plans receive community support. Professional plans include email support with a 48-hour response SLA. Enterprise plans include priority support with a 4-hour response SLA.
The Service is a security testing tool, not a guarantee of security. ArmoScan identifies known vulnerability patterns and misconfigurations but cannot detect all possible security issues. A clean scan report does not certify that your application is secure. You are responsible for implementing appropriate security measures for your applications.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF RESULTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR THAT ALL VULNERABILITIES WILL BE DETECTED.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ARMOLOGIC LTD. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Armologic Ltd., its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your scanning of unauthorized Targets; (d) your violation of any third party's rights or applicable laws.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at info@armologic.com or through the Settings page. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you: (a) violate these Terms; (b) use the Service for unauthorized scanning; (c) engage in fraudulent or illegal activity; (d) fail to pay subscription fees after reasonable notice. We will provide notice of termination where reasonably possible.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 6, 9, 10, 11, and 14 survive termination.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice within the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
